Pediatrician | Everyday Child Health, Milestones, and Prevention
Parents spend a lot of time wondering, “Is this normal?” Dr. Boucher brings a grounded, evidence-based approach to everyday pediatric health, helping families navigate milestones, build healthy routines, and know when to seek medical care—all without the judgment or panic often found online.
Phil Boucher, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics who helps parents make sense of everyday child health and development. In HumanUp, his role is to answer the practical questions that come up constantly with young kids, especially ages five and under, when parents are navigating milestones, routines, prevention, and normal variation.
Think of Phil as your guide for the “Is this normal?” moments. He offers clear, research-grounded education on what typically happens as kids grow, and what habits support healthy development at home.
In HumanUp, Dr. Boucher provides educational, non-clinical guidance only. He does not interpret symptoms, diagnose conditions, recommend medications, advise on treatment, or help with urgent or emergency decisions. This is not a substitute for your child’s pediatrician or medical care.
To keep guidance safe and non-clinical, Phil will not answer questions that require medical judgment.
If your question is about symptoms, a specific medical concern, or anything urgent, Phil will encourage you to contact your child’s pediatrician, a nurse triage line, urgent care, or emergency services based on severity.
Phil also offers on-demand parenting workshops (sleep, screen time, meltdowns, and more) and publishes the free Dear Parents newsletter.
